World of the Earth Tigers

THE LAND

The world in which The Earth Tigers is set is a devoutly arachnophobic one. The people are inherently suspicious of spiders and "to allow a spider to live" is considered blasphemous.
That being said, of course, the spider fauna is thick and plentiful, and invertebrate species are far more prevalent than mammals in the dense jungles.

The humanoid population is still tribal and fairly primitive, though there is evidence of a past culture that was somewhat more advanced, albeit not high-tech in the least.

The tribes maintain a very strict distance from any area where the ruins of the previous civilizations rest.

It is worth noting that "to slay a wasp" is considered a crime against nature.
